Fellow Data's role
Fellow Data provides technology and software services. It does not provide investment advice, portfolio management, brokerage, custody or execution services, its AI agents do not place trades, and nothing on this website or in its products' outputs is a recommendation to trade.
Market risks
| Risk | What it means |
|---|---|
| Market risk | Prices can move against a position for reasons no one controls. |
| Volatility | Prices can move sharply and quickly, especially around news and economic events. |
| Leverage | Leverage magnifies both gains and losses. Depending on the product, losses can be larger than the amount first invested. |
| Liquidity risk | It may not be possible to buy or sell at the expected price, or at all. |
| Counterparty risk | A broker, liquidity provider or other counterparty may fail to meet its obligations. |
| Execution risk | Orders may be filled at a different price than expected, delayed or rejected. |
Technology and operational risks
| Risk | What it means |
|---|---|
| Technology risk | Systems, networks and connections can fail, slow down or behave unexpectedly. |
| Data risk | Market and other data can be inaccurate, incomplete, delayed or interrupted, including data from third parties. |
| Model risk | Quantitative and AI models are simplifications. They can be wrong, particularly in conditions they were not built or tested for. |
| Operational risk | Errors in processes, configuration or human decisions can cause losses. |
| Cybersecurity risk | Systems can be attacked, compromised or made unavailable. |
| Regulatory risk | Laws and regulations can change and affect products, markets and permitted activities. |
AI-specific risk
AI-generated analysis may contain errors, omissions or inappropriate conclusions. AI outputs should not be treated as guaranteed predictions of market behaviour. They can also reflect bias in the data they were trained on, and their reasoning can be difficult to explain.
Autonomous systems
Automated or autonomous analysis can be incomplete, out of date or wrong, and may behave differently under market conditions that were not represented in testing. Any trading decision made using Fellow Data outputs is the user's own decision and responsibility.
Fellow Data's AI agents analyse and evaluate information only. They do not place, prepare or execute trades, and they do not give investment advice. Trading decisions always stay with your traders.
Market data and analytics
Fellow Data's markets data analytics provides financial-market information, historical records, analytical metrics and research tools based on the data sources available for each deployment. Its data, charts, metrics and AI-generated summaries are not investment advice or a recommendation to buy or sell any financial instrument.
Data may be delayed, revised, incomplete or subject to limitations set by its source. Historical records may not reflect current market conditions, and derived analytics depend on their method and assumptions. Unless expressly agreed in a specific service arrangement, Fellow Data does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, timeliness or continuous availability of third-party data.
COT reports
Commitments of Traders reports are periodic: they reflect positions as of a reporting date and are published after that date. They do not show current positions in real time. Trader classifications, coverage and methods differ between report types and markets.
Derivatives data
Open interest, volume and options statistics can differ between exchanges, instruments, data vendors and reporting conventions. Comparisons should take account of contract specifications, expiry dates, settlement methods and the data available.
Company filings
Corporate disclosures are provided for research and information. Extracted, summarised or AI-generated content may leave out context or contain errors. Check the original filings and official disclosures before relying on them for important decisions.
Quantitative analytics
Derived metrics, such as correlations, percentiles, volatility measures and statistical classifications, depend on the dataset, the method and the historical sample. Statistical relationships do not establish causation and do not guarantee future outcomes.
Data licensing
Some datasets are subject to the intellectual property and licence conditions of exchanges, regulators, publishers or other third parties. Their use, storage, display, export and redistribution are subject to the applicable rights and agreements.
Simulated data
Dashboards, figures and examples on this website use simulated, illustrative data. They are not real trading results and do not predict future performance.
Your responsibility
Before you trade or deploy any trading technology, make sure you understand the risks, consider your objectives and financial situation, and seek independent professional advice where appropriate.
Customers remain responsible for determining whether their use of the technology satisfies applicable regulatory requirements.
